Vidya Scholarships 2011-12

Vidya International Charitable Trust in co operation with All India Council for Technical Education, PTA & VIDYA Alumni Association offers the following scholarship awards (74 Nos ) to the meritorious students for students joining Vidya Academy of Science & Technology (VAS) in the Academic Year 2011 - 12.

  • Additional Requirements
    Vidya Merit-cum-Means Full Fee Scholarship
    The following documents should be submitted along with the application.
    1.Income  Certificate from revenue authorities.
    2. Recommendation from Local MP / MLA or any Vidya Trust Member, certifying the eligibility of the applicant.
    3. Conduct certificate from School or College Principal
     
    The Scholarship is awarded to students admitted in the Colleges of Vidya.  Admission shall be strictly in conformity with the Government Selection System, having the discipline been opted from the Government quota.  The initial installment of the requisite fee shall be paid by the student in the counseling centre, which shall be refunded by Vidya, after the admission process is complete.  Students who are not qualified for admission under Government quota shall be given admission under the Management quota, provided they are qualified in the entrance examination.  The discipline shall be at the discretion of the Management without any option for the students.
    Students who fulfill the aforesaid pre-requisites shall be considered for selection on the basis of their merit, performance in the interview to be conducted and the marks obtained in the Entrance Examination and qualifying examination. 
  • Fee Exemption
    Awardees of Full Fee Scholarship will be getting Full Fee Exemption.
    Awardees of Half Fee Scholarship will be getting Half Fee Exemption.
  • Hostel Facility
For deserving students of Full Fee Scholarship winners (Vidya Merit-cum-Means Full Fee Scholarship, Vidya EXCELLENCE Full Fee Scholarship for Entrance toppers, Vidya Merit- cum Means Full Fee Arts & Sports Scholarship) from places beyond 25KMs will be provided free boarding & lodging, subject to availability.
MONETARY DISBURSEMENT OF THE SCHOLARSHIP
The student selected for Vidya Scholarships other than ‘Vidya Fee Waiver’, ‘Vidya Competence 90%’  and  ‘Vidya Excellence’ shall avail of education loan from any banks of his choice.  The Trust shall reimburse to the bank, the loan amount with interest accrued, if any, provided the student attains success in all papers in the University examinations or  aggregate mark not less than 60%.
If the student fails to meet this condition, the Trust will cease reimbursement of the loan, and thereby the student shall redeem the loan as per the terms and conditions of the concerned bank.
